My internship at SnapDragon Games draws to an end this month. These past six months actually were my first real working experience. There was a lot to learn and a lot to do.
Since I was little, I’ve been dreaming of making a career in game development. For me it was like saying “I’m going to be an astronaut”. So I didn’t say it that often. Nevertheless, I’ve been working on my own hobby projects for years in order to teach myself the art of developing games and to build a portfolio.
My dream really seems to begin taking shape now. It seems you can get paid for doing what you like and I’m on the best way to actually do that. For six months I’ve been working daily (well, weekdays mainly) on games and it’s still fun. For me, that’s all that counts. That is why making games rocks!
There are already measures being taken so that I can continue working at SnapDragon and also write my diploma thesis in cooperation with them. I’m looking forward to it.
